The US Treasury Department will designate Wagner as a transnational criminal organization.
Next week, the United States will impose additional sanctions against the Russian private military company Wagner, which is helping the Russian military in the war in Ukraine. This is what a senior US administration official said, Reuters reports.
It was previously known that the US Department of the Treasury would designate Wagner as a transnational criminal organization.
“In conjunction with this determination, next week we will also impose additional sanctions against Wagner and his support network on several continents. These actions recognize the transcontinental threat posed by Wagner , including because of his continued serious criminal activity,” the official said.
Declaring Wagner a transnational criminal organization by executive order freezes any US assets of Wagner and prohibits Americans from providing funds, goods, or services to the group.
“With these and other actions, we would like to contact any company considering providing support to Wagner with the following message: “Wagner is a criminal organization that commits mass atrocities and violations on human rights, and we will work tirelessly to identify, detonate, expose and prosecute those who aided Wagner,” the source added.
Remember, it was previously reported that the families of the mercenaries were talking about the cases when the “Wagnerites” tried to ensure that the coffins should not be opened and that the empty coffins were given to the relatives of the dead
Also, a mercenary Wagner PMC from Tanzania, Tarimo Nemes Raymond, was liquidated in Ukraine. The African used to study at a university in Russia, but in Russia he was arrested for selling drugs.
