Since November 2022, the National Commission for State Regulation in the Spheres of Energy and Communal Services (NEURC) has considered more than 2.5 thousand complaints about unfair power outages. This was reported by the press service of NEURC.
The National Commission reported that considering consumers’ appeals about uneven power outages is among the regulator’s priorities.
NEURC reminded that on January 17, it decided to impose a fine on JSC Vinnitsaoblenergo, JSC Chernivtsioblenergo and PrJSC Volynyoblenergo for non-compliance with schedules for power outages to consumers, and company executives were also fined.
At the next NEURC meeting, scheduled for January 24, the results of the inspection of seven more distribution system operators will be considered and decisions will be made on the imposition of penalties and personal liability of their leaders, which is not reported.
It was previously reported that NEURC will investigate seven oblenergos due to complaints.
