In Russia, the local Central Election Commission is preparing for the presidential elections, although they are still more than a year away. This is what the sanctioned chairman of CEC Ella Pamfilova said in a briefing on Friday, January 20.

“Of course, we are preparing (for the presidential campaign). How else?” she told reporters.

According to Pamfilova, work is underway to prepare a technical, digital, methodological, organizational, and personnel base.

“Now we put it with an eye on the presidential campaign, because we understand what the presidential election is in the current conditions,” he said.
