The British ex-premier received a million pounds from crypto investor Christopher Garborne.
Former Prime Minister and current House of Commons MP Boris Johnson received a one-off donation of £1 million. This amount is a record for the British Parliament. It was reported by the British TV channel Sky News.
This amount was transferred to Johnson’s account by Brexit fan crypto investor Christopher Garborn.
According to the UK Electoral Commission, the previous record was £150,000. This money was transferred to MP Michael Gove in 2009.
It should be noted that British politicians use such monetary donations to finance election campaigns, staff costs and maintaining offices.
In addition, these funds are also used to support former prime ministers in public life.
As we previously reported, Boris Johnson is planning a trip to Ukraine to support President Volodymyr Zelensky.
We also added that Johnson expressed confidence in Ukraine’s victory in the war in 2023.
