A Ground Zero worker and 9/11 first responder sent a clear message to House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) about Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.) and his 9/11 lie (You can watch her message for McCarthy below).
Santos’ tornado of lies includes a tweet from 2021 that referred to his mother’s death on 9/11 but later that year hinted that his mother died in December 2016.
Santos’ mother was not in the United States on September 11, 2001, according to the Washington Post, although Santos’ website claims she was in the South Tower during the attack on the World Trade Center.
9/11 first responder John Feal called Santos’ lie “disgusting” during an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper on Thursday.
John Feal fell on his leg with a steel beam at Ground Zero, but was denied compensation for the horrific injury, an injury that resulted in a partial leg amputation.
He said McCarthy should “be a man” in response to the embattled Republican’s move.
“He can fix it. And if Kevin, if you’re watching and if you’re listening, be a man. Man, Feal said.
“Show the leadership you were voted for and do the right thing. This man leaves behind a trail of pain and no one does anything.
McCarthy revealed earlier this week that he “always had some questions” about Santos’ background, however, he did not ask the Republican to resign.
