The Pentagon said the weapons sent to Ukraine were partially taken from warehouses in Israel and South Korea.
The United States transfers ammunition to Ukraine from warehouses in Israel and South Korea, which makes it possible to quickly provide the defenders of Ukraine with everything they need. This was announced in a briefing on Thursday, January 19, by the Deputy Speaker of the US Department of Defense, Sabrina Singh.
He emphasized that such supplies do not affect the combat readiness of American troops.
“We supply Ukraine with various ammunition, materials, weapons and equipment on a regular basis. And partly to ensure that we can do this quickly, we are cooperating with the Republic of Korea and Israel when it comes to withdrawing from our warehouses (on the territory of these countries – ed.)”.
He emphasized that this does not affect the willingness of US forces to defend US interests at home and abroad.
Earlier, the media reported that the United States was supplying Ukraine with shells from warehouses in Israel.
