Zelensky met with IAEA director general

The President thanked Rafael Grossi for the positive decision to place Agency inspectors in nuclear power plants in Ukraine.

Today, January 19, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with the IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi. This was reported by the press service of the President of Ukraine.

“I met with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi. I am grateful for the positive decision to place Agency inspectors in our nuclear power plants. Our teams are working to strengthen the security of nuclear infrastructure. Continued shelling of Ukrainian nuclear power plants by Russian Federation is unacceptable,” said Zelensky.

Recall that the head of the IAEA visited the Rivne NPP. Foreign nuclear safety experts will remain at Ukrainian nuclear power plants until the end of the conflict.
