On January 19, the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (OKKU) donated medical equipment to the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children’s Medical Center in Lviv. OKKU reports this on Facebook.
It was noted that the children’s medical center received about 10 tons of medical equipment for a total cost of more than UAH 16 million. Equipment includes state-of-the-art electric beds, vital signs monitors, medical gurneys, first aid kits, automatic chest compression devices, blood pressure monitors, pulse oximeters, diagnostic flashlights, phonendoscopes, electronic thermometers, and surgical suture material.
The equipment was provided with the donor support of the Red Cross of the Czech Republic.
The medical center annually receives inpatient care for 7.5 thousand children. After the outbreak of war, the center began to help the children of temporarily displaced people with serious blood disorders.
As reported, since the beginning of the war, nine million people have received help from the Red Cross of Ukraine.
Recall that the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Mirjana Spoljarich-Egger, visited Ukraine in December 2022.
