Rescuers reported that at 14:00, four children were known to have died in the helicopter crash.
The tragedy in Brovary claimed the lives of 17 people, four of them children. In addition, nine people aboard the helicopter died. This was stated in the message of the State Emergency Service (GSChS) with official information data from 14:00 on Wednesday, January 18.
The State Emergency Service also added that 25 people were injured, including 11 children.
The State Emergency Service continues to search and rescue. The fate of one child remains unknown.
“65 people and 12 pieces of equipment are involved from the State Emergency Service, including a cynological team and 3 rescue departments of MRTs II,” the message said.
Psychologists of the State Emergency Service provided assistance to 51 people.
The mobile task force of the State Emergency Service is currently working at the emergency site.
As already reported, in Brovary, a helicopter fell on a kindergarten. Later it became known that the top leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, including Minister Denis Monastyrsky, was in it.
