Temporarily fulfilling the powers of the head of the gas department was his first deputy Alexander Romanyuk.
The Cabinet of Ministers agreed with the decision of the board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine to remove Olena Kobets, General Director of Ukrgasvydobuvannya, from the exercise of powers. This is stated in the relevant government decree, published on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers on April 29.
In the same decree, the government agreed to the temporary assignment of the powers of the head of the company to the first deputy general director of UGV Alexander Romanyuk.
Olena Kobets was appointed head of UGV in May 2020, before she headed the company’s legal department. At the same time, Romaniuk led the Exploration and Production division of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine.
Recall that since the beginning of 2022, Ukrgasvydobuvannya increased gas production by more than 1% and launched a new well during the war. The company was able to keep daily production at pre-war levels-a drop of only about five percent.
Let’s add that the European Union and the United States have concluded an agreement on energy resources. By 2030, States expect to increase the supply of liquefied gas in Europe to 50 billion cubic meters per year.
