Nebenzya accused Ukraine of allegedly placing air defense installations that shoot down Russian missiles in residential areas.
Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzia told a UN Security Council meeting that the Russian X-22 missile that hit the house in Dnipro was allegedly shot down by Ukrainian air defense forces, RosSMI reports.
“A Russian missile launched at the infrastructure facility of the city was hit by Ukrainian air defense forces. Because the air defense installation is located in a residential area that violates the norms of international humanitarian law , which you care so much about, those who shot down the missile fell on a residential building,” said Nebenzia.
Before this, the version that the Russian missile was allegedly shot down by the Ukrainian air defense, as a result of which it fell into a residential building, was voiced by Aleksey Arestovich. Subsequently, he said that he had made a “fundamental mistake”, after which he wrote a letter of resignation from the Office of the President.
Later, the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that they do not have the ability to shoot down Kh-22 missiles, and all such statements about this are false.
