Soon the International Atomic Energy Agency will have a permanent presence at all nuclear power plants in Ukraine.
The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, said that the agency’s mission is starting to work on the South Ukrainian NPP. This was announced on Monday, January 16, in a message from the Director General of the organization to Twitter.
“The IAEA flag is now flying over the South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant. We remain here to help ensure nuclear safety during the ongoing conflict,” Grossi said.
He stressed that soon the IAEA will be permanently present at all Ukrainian nuclear power plants.
The International Atomic Energy Agency, or IAEA for short, is the international committee on the peaceful applications of nuclear technology. The Forum was established as an independent agency within the UN system.
It was previously reported that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has expanded its mission to Ukraine to prevent a nuclear accident.
Recall that at the end of December, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi visited Moscow to discuss the creation of a protective zone around the Zaporozhye NPP.
