The only thing that can end the aggressive war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine is the victory of the Ukrainians. This was announced on Monday, January 16, by Dutch Foreign Minister Wopke Hoekstra, Trouw reports.
“It is absolutely clear that, whatever happens, the only way to truly resolve this conflict is to win it on the battlefield. Therefore, Ukraine needs more weapons, we must face the truth. If we limit our efforts, everything we have done so far will come to nothing,” said the Dutch Foreign Minister.
He pointed out that Russia, with its intervention, also caused the energy crisis in Ukraine, and accelerated climate change with its destructive actions.
“I strongly believe that by joining forces we can play an important role in facing today’s challenges. In particular, with the war in Ukraine,” Hoekstra said.
It can be recalled that the Netherlands announced its readiness to create a special tribunal in The Hague, where they will judge those responsible for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Earlier it was reported that NATO leaders and the Dutch Foreign Ministry discussed the supply of weapons to Ukraine.
