During the negotiations organized by the Turkish Ombudsman Institute, a three-stage plan was agreed, in which Ukraine provides a list of 800 people, Russia 200.
Ukraine and Russia are working on a large-scale prisoner exchange: they plan to exchange about 1,000 people. This is what Turkish Ombudsman Seref Malkok said, reports CNNTurk.
In talks organized by the Turkish Ombudsman Institute, a three-stage plan was reportedly agreed upon, with Ukraine providing a list of 800 people and Russia 200.
“It’s not enough to just talk, you have to take steps. Talk to your leaders to create a mechanism,” said the Turkish ombudsman.
Seref Malkok proposed that Ukraine and the Russian Federation open a “humanitarian corridor” for the exchange of wounded civilians, soldiers, the elderly, children and women.
It was previously reported that Turkey has changed its position on the war in Ukraine.
