On Sunday, January 15, Ukrainian fighters from the 92nd mechanized brigade shot down a T-90M Proryv-3 tank in the Luhansk region near the village of Novoselovskoe. This was announced by journalist Yuri Butusov on his Telegram channel on Monday, January 16.
The crew of the tank survived, they fled, leaving the car behind. The journalist added that the Russians called it their “best tank”.
Ukrainian defenders from the 27th brigade of the National Guard made another blow to the tank to prevent its evacuation and repair. Because of this, it caught fire, and then exploded.
The cost of such a tank is estimated at 5 million dollars.
It should be noted that according to the calculations of the Oryx analytical project, which collects information on losses in the Russian-Ukrainian war from photographs and videos from the front, until yesterday, the Russians lost at least nine T- 90 Ms. The last one is at the beginning of December.
