“Her husband, Deepak Pokhrel, died in 2006 as a result of a Yeti Airlines plane crash in Jumla. He studied piloting with the money he received from insurance after the death of his wife,” he says.
According to him, Hativada flies regularly on the route between Kathmandu and Pokhara, where the crash occurred. In total, he spent more than 6,400 hours at the controls of an aircraft.
