A Republican lawmaker is accusing the government of a UFO cover-up days after a declassified report revealed hundreds of new encounters with what the military now prefers to call the Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon, or UAP.
“This is a huge cover-up for whatever reason,” Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) told NewsNation over the weekend. “And I feel like America is ready, we need to know and stop all the bullshit.”
Burchett, who also said there is a reference to a UFO in the Bible, said recent UFO footage shows the objects performing the kind of maneuvers no human could resist.
“If you were human and did the twists and turns that were seen in some of these images, you would literally turn into a ketchup packet,” he said. – I mean you would have left.
He noted that UFO clips, such as the famous “Tic Tac” movie, do not show vapor trails.
Some have speculated that the apparently impossible human movements and lack of vapor trail are signs that the objects are drones or balloons – potentially alien in origin, at least in some cases – rather than manned vehicles or extraterrestrial visitors.
Burchett said the government has covered up UFO encounters since the 1947 Roswell crash.
“I don’t trust the government, there is an arrogance,” he said. “I think the American public can handle and should release everything.”
This, he said, includes potential UFO spacecraft or material from a spacecraft.
