WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden’s lawyers have found more classified documents than previously known at his home in Wilmington, Delaware, the White House acknowledged Saturday.
White House counsel Richard Sauber said in a statement that a total of six pages of classified documents were found during a search of Biden’s private library. The White House had previously said only one page was found there.
The latest revelation comes on top of the discovery of documents found in Biden’s garage in December and in November in his former offices at the Penn Biden Center in Washington from his time as vice president.
Sauber said in a statement on Saturday that Biden’s personal lawyers, who did not have security clearances, stopped their search after finding the front page on Wednesday. Sauber found the remaining materials Thursday as it facilitated their recovery by the Justice Department. He said department officials with him “immediately got hold of them.”
