Ukrainian Ambassador to Turkey Vasily Bodnar said that the departure of the Turkish aircraft from Boryspil in December of last year was ensured as a result of a joint secret operation of the Ministry of Defense and the special services of Ukraine and Turkey , where the runway is technically prepared and the air defense is warned. He said this in an interview with Ukrinform.
“I know that the security corridors have been agreed upon, because the airspace in Ukraine is controlled by our air defense forces. First, the necessary engineering and technical work was carried out at the airport so that the planes could fly. According to the ambassador, the project was implemented thanks to the cooperation between the Ministries of Defense of Ukraine and Turkey.
