The National War Memorial Cemetery is planned to be located on the territory of the Lysaya Gora tract in Kyiv.

The construction of the National War Memorial Cemetery in Kyiv is planned to start in the spring of 2023. This was announced by the Deputy Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine Oleksandr Porkhun on the air of the telethon, reports RBC-Ukraine.

“There are small sketches and sketches. We plan to make it like Arlington Cemetery in the United States. All regulatory legal acts have been adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers regarding the uniformity of burials, the uniformity of tombstones,” said Porhun.

It is reported that an architectural competition will be announced, the plan of the winning project will be published. The budget includes 32 million hryvnias for pre-project documentation and the first steps to create a military cemetery.

The National War Memorial Cemetery is planned to be located on the territory of the Lysaya Gora tract in Kyiv.

Recall that Kyiv offered a place for holding honorary burials near Babi Yar, but the Cabinet of Ministers made a different decision.
