Sauli Niiniste said that the number of tanks for Ukraine at Finland’s disposal cannot be large.
Finnish President Sauli Niiniste said that Finland will transfer part of its Leopard tanks to Ukraine once an appropriate international initiative is created in Europe. Yle reported.
According to Niiniste, if a joint European initiative is created to transfer German Leopard tanks to Ukraine, then “Finland’s participation will also be required.”
He noted that the number of tanks for Ukraine at Finland’s disposal cannot be large, as Finland borders the Russian Federation and is still not a member of NATO.
Recall that earlier the media wrote that Finland has not yet decided on the supply of tanks to Ukraine.
