“We want to make an effort to open a humanitarian corridor. I made an offer to our president. He accepted it. They started the necessary work under the leadership of our president,” said Malkoch.
On the eve it became known that Turkey has offered to open a humanitarian corridor where those injured as a result of the conflict will be taken for treatment.
It was also reported that on January 5, Erdogan and Zelensky spoke. Among other things, the parties discussed Ankara’s mediation on the issue of peace between the Russian Federation and Ukraine.
Before this, Erdogan spoke with Putin, who pointed out to him that peace efforts need to be supported by a unilateral ceasefire.
