Now the negotiation process continues “in many dimensions,” explained Mevlut Cavusoglu.
Turkey supports the 10-point peace plan proposed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said this, Anadolu reported on Tuesday, January 10.
“Of course, our goal is a lasting peace and a mutually acceptable solution. We believe that this war will end at the negotiating table. The sooner the better,” said the Turkish Foreign Minister.
According to him, Turkey has made great efforts in this regard. Cavusoglu explained that everyone has seen the results of diplomacy, despite the war, and that “negotiations continue in many dimensions.”
“But there are new parameters and facts. Russia says it is ready for negotiations now. Zelensky proposed a 10-point peace plan. We, as Turkey, support this plan and continue our work, Cavusoglu said.
Remember, on November 15, Zelensky announced the 10-point peace formula in a speech at the G20 summit in Bali.
Later, the media reported that in February next year, Ukraine will present a peace plan, based on Zelensky’s peace formula.
The Kremlin has already said that Ukraine’s peace plan must take into account “today’s realities.”
