About 100 Russian soldiers and weapons were sent from the Zaitsevka station in the Voronezh region on January 4.
Russia moved another echelon with equipment and personnel to Belarus. This was reported on January 9 by the Belaruska Gayun monitoring group on Telegram with reference to the Community of Railway Workers of Belarus.
It was noted that on the afternoon of January 8, a train with equipment and personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation arrived at the Baranovichi-Polesskie station.
In total, it had about 30 platform wagons with equipment, two cargo wagons with ammunition and equipment, and two passenger wagons with personnel – about 100 people.
According to the group, the train was sent from the Zaitsevka station in the Voronezh region of the Russian Federation on January 4. It is emphasized that it is located in the border area with the occupied part of the Luhansk region.
The day before, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed that a large amount of weapons and military equipment arriving in Belarus from Russia was removed from long-term storage. It takes time to restore it, as well as significant forces and means.
As explained by Alexander Pavlyuk, Deputy Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian Federation does not have enough time to reopen weapons and equipment, so it pulls its “scrap metal” to the neighboring republic .
