On January 5, Putin announced the so-called “Christmas truce”, and on January 6-7, the invaders continued to kill civilians and shell Ukrainian cities and villages.
According to information from the heads of the military administrations of Ukraine, Russian shelling over the past day occurred in the following regions:
Kherson region: The Russians shelled the region 39 times. Kherson was hit nine times – they hit private and apartment buildings and the fire and rescue unit.
A lifeguard was killed and seven residents of the region were injured.
Mykolaiv region: the invaders launched artillery strikes on the waters of the Ochakovo community. There were no casualties.
Dnepropetrovsk region: in the Nikopol region, the air raid lasted about nine hours. However, there were no hits.
Kharkiv region: Russians shelled Kupyansk, Volchansk, Dvuhletnaya and other villages in the region. No casualties. Residential houses and outbuildings were damaged.
Donetsk region: On January 6, the invaders killed two civilians – in Bakhmut and Krasnaya Gora. Seven people are injured.
The main efforts of the Russian army are focused on attempts to completely capture the Donetsk region within the administrative border, advancing in the Bakhmut direction.
Over the past day, units of the Defense Forces repelled attacks by Russian invaders in the areas of the settlements of Stelmakhovka, Makeevka, Dibrova and Belogorovka in the Luhansk region and Ozaryanovka, Soledar, Krasnaya Gora, Podgorodnoye, Bakhmut, Kleschievka, Sol, Pervomayskoye, Maryinka and Pobeda.
