During the holiday weekend, nine ships exported 432,000 tons of Ukrainian products to African, Asian and European countries. This was reported by the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
“In particular, on the way to Tunisia – the HONORINE bulk carrier with 27.5 thousand tons of Ukrainian grain, the VELVET bulk carrier with 57 thousand tons of wheat were sent to Bangladesh. Today, 630 thousand tons of agricultural products was loaded on 19 ships in the ports of Odessa, Chornomorsk and Pivdenny No new ships are expected to be brought in,” the message said.
It was also reported that 94 vessels were awaiting inspection in the Bosporus (69 vessels were empty for loading, and 25 were already loaded with agricultural products).
“The Russian side of the JCC is systematically slowing down the inspections. Ships are waiting on average for more than a month. However, the T-Med bulk carrier with wheat on board has been waiting for an inspection since the beginning of November last year. Since August 1, 620 ships left the ports of Greater Odessa, exporting 16, 5 million tons of Ukrainian food to the countries of Asia, Europe and Africa,” said the ministry .
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine was able to export 16 million tons of agricultural products with the help of the “grain initiative”.
