Russia, before the next mass attack of Ukraine, can strike with the help of drones, believes Natalya Gumenyuk.
Russia may be preparing an attack on Ukrainian territory with the help of drones in preparation for a new massive missile strike. This was announced by the head of the Joint Coordinating Press Center of the Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine, Natalya Gumenyuk, on the air of a nationwide news telethon on Sunday, January 1.
According to him, the Russian Federation received a batch of drones from Iran and could use them to attack Ukraine.
“Now the enemy’s ships in the Black Sea have decreased significantly, only five remain, and the missile carriers are in their bases. They are not on combat duty. But we remember that they worked then, they used a lot Caliber, that’s why they need time to reload Now, in preparation for this (attack – ed.), they will probably use more drone attacks, and in the meantime, they will release rocket launchers,” she said.
According to him, the southern region is a “transit” region for Russian missiles, so the air defense operation depends on whether the missiles can reach deep into Ukraine.
“Now the enemy is trying to terrorize the areas adjacent to the front line – the direction of Zaporozhye, the Dnipropetrovsk region (Nikopol district), etc.,” summed up Gumenyuk.
He added that overall the situation remains quite tense, but under control. The effective repulsion of the Ukrainian defenders made the enemy nervous and constantly regrouping.
Earlier it was reported that Kyiv and the Kyiv region were attacked by enemy UAVs.
We add that on the night of December 29-30, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with Iranian-made kamikaze drones Shahed-131/136.
