The tanks entered Ukraine on the eve of the invasion and provided logistics for the troops advancing in the Chernihiv-Suma direction.
Kyiv’s Pechersky District Court arrested 51 Belarusian tank cars that crossed the border into the Chernihiv region on the eve of the Russian invasion. This was announced on Saturday, April 30, by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation.
It was noticed that after the Russian invasion, the tankers actually provided the logistics of the troops advancing in the direction of Chernihiv-Sumy. The tanks were filled with 3,000 tons of Belarusian and Russian diesel fuel. The products are allegedly intended for oil companies that are under Medvedchuk’s influence.
After liberating the Chernihiv region from Russian occupiers, SBI investigators initiated a petition in the Pechersky District Court to seize the discovered property. Now the State Bureau of Investigation is taking steps to transfer the seized assets to the Agency for Monitoring and Management of Assets, and eventually to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Some of the tanks after the successful military operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are somewhat “damaged”, but after the conclusions of inspection and repair, they will also go to the needs of the state.
In this fact, criminal proceedings are opened under the article on planning, preparing or unleashing an aggressive war or military conflict, as well as participation in a conspiracy aimed at committing such actions (part 1 of the article 437 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine had seized several ships of the Russian Federation and Belarus. Questions on their nationalization will be considered by the competent authorities.
The State Bureau of Investigation also seized ten Russian ships being repaired in the Odessa region.
