Ukrainian defenders shot down 12 cruise missiles out of more than 20 fired by the Russians at Ukraine on New Year’s Eve.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny said that previously, the Russians launched more than 20 cruise missiles using Tu-95MS strategic bombers from the Caspian Sea and ground-based missile systems.
“The forces and means of our air defense destroyed 12 cruise missiles: six inside Kyiv, five – Zhytomyr and one – Khmelnytsky regions. In the past, the enemy launched more than 20 air-launched cruise missiles using Tu-95ms strategic bombers from the Caspian Sea and missile ground-based complexes,” Zaluzhny wrote in Telegram.
It will be remembered that as a result of an enemy missile strike in Kyiv, more than 20 people were injured, there was also one dead.
