Today, December 28, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, while speaking at a plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada, presented the HIMARS battery commander with an award from US President Joseph Biden. This was announced by People’s Deputy of Ukraine Oleksiy Goncharenko.
“Zelensky gave the Haimars battery commander an award from Biden. Remember that Zelensky brought the US president an award that belonged to a soldier from Bakhmut? And Biden answered: he handed over a special symbol from the US president. Zelensky gave it to the commander during his speech to the Rada,” Goncharenko wrote on his Telegram channel.
