North Korea prepares for nuclear tests. This was reported by the Financial Times.
New satellite images of North Korea’s Phungeri nuclear test site show that Pyongyang is preparing for its first nuclear test since 2017, according to the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington.
It noted that preparations for it “are in full swing.”
“Some sources suggest that the seventh nuclear test could take place between May and September of this year,” CSIS said in a statement.
They noted that the date of a new nuclear test would depend solely on the personal decision of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
Recall that North Korea has announced successful tests that will “significantly improve the country’s tactical nuclear capabilities”.
