We are talking about 160 thousand tons of iron ore, which is planned to be illegally transported by sea to the territory of Russia.
Underground warehouses with more than 160,000 tons of iron ore, owned by the company of Russian oligarch Alisher Usmanov, were discovered on the territory of several ports of Ukraine. Property worth about 2 billion hryvnias was arrested, the SBU reported on Tuesday, December 27.
“It was established that the identified batch of iron ore belongs to the company of the Russian oligarch, Alisher Usmanov, a member of the inner circle of the top military-political leadership of the Kremlin,” the security service said.
The SBU recalled that sanctions were imposed on this Russian oligarch by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, the United States and the European Union.
“According to operational information, representatives of the aggressor country tried to illegally transport the hidden raw materials by sea to the territory of Russia. After that, they planned to transfer the minerals to the needs of the metallurgical industry and the military -industrial complex of the Russian Federation to meet the needs of Russian occupation groups,” the SBU added.
Now the issue of transferring property to the National Agency for the Detection, Search and Management of Assets Obtained from Corruption and Other Crimes (ARMA) has been resolved.
Earlier, the media reported that one of the richest Russians, oligarch Alisher Usmanov, lost four Faberge eggs. They were discovered during a search of his villas on Lake Tegernsee in Germany.
