On New Year’s Eve, the curfew on the territory of Ukraine has not been canceled, violators will be imprisoned. This was announced during the telethon on December 25 by the press secretary of the head of the National Police, Maryana Reva.
“People should understand that regardless of our day – holiday or non-holiday – there are certain curfew requirements. The police will check people, check their documents, take them to police units to identify or check this person ,” she said..
According to Reva, those who go out on New Year’s Eve may be held liable for curfew violations.
He also recalled that the sale and use of pyrotechnics is directly prohibited almost throughout the country, law enforcement officers will respond to such cases.
Earlier, the people of Kiev appealed to local authorities with a request to lift the curfew in the capital on the night of January 1, 2023.
As emphasized in the Kyiv City Council, during the New Year celebration, the restrictions will work as usual – from 23.00 to 5.00.
