More than 11,000 bullets were defused in the Kherson region – State Emergency Service

A total of 11,346 explosive ordnance have been found and defused since demining began in the region.

More than 11,000 explosive devices were neutralized in the occupied territories of the Kherson region of Ukraine. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

“Pyrotechnicians examined, centimeter by centimeter, the liberated territories of the Kherson region and discovered an incredible amount of explosives left by the invaders. In total, 11,346 explosives were found and defused from when mine clearance began,” the report said.

It was noted that the pyrotechnic units were examined:

  • 922.2 hectares of territory;

  • 125 things;

  • 339.1 km of roads;

  • 260.3 km of power lines;

  • 19.7 km of gas pipeline;

  • 60 km of railway tracks;

  • 598 households.

It was previously reported that during the retreat, the occupiers mined many residential buildings.

Remember, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, about 30% of the territory of Ukraine has explosive objects. It will take 10 years to complete the demining of the country.
