Ukrainian servicemen in the Donetsk region handed over a blue and yellow flag with their signatures to President Volodymyr Zelensky to pass it to the US Congress.
Zelensky, in response, noted that this would be a hint at Ukraine’s need for increased support from its American partners, the press service of the Presidential Office reports.
The soldiers handed over our banner with their signatures. We have a difficult situation, the enemy is increasing its numbers. Our guys are more courageous, and we need stronger weapons. We will convey to Congress, we will convey to the President of the United States gratitude from the guys for their support. But this is not enough. This is such a hint: this is not enough,” Zelensky said.

The President also noted that he visited the advanced positions in the Donetsk region, because Ukrainian soldiers protect our lives, give their lives for it, “and at least sometimes we have to risk ours to support.”
The head of state thanked the defenders of Bakhmut for their resilience and strength, stressing that they are defending not only the east of Ukraine, but the entire state.
You and I see what remains after where they (the Russians) pass: nothing alive. The question is not in the Donbass. Therefore, I want to tell you: here, in Donbass, you are protecting the whole of Ukraine! Because after Donbass they will do all this in other towns of our state, because they do not want anything Ukrainian. I’m sure of it. Therefore, on your shoulders is not the protection of Donbass, but the protection of the whole of Ukraine, the President noted.
