BUT pelican fell at the home of the Gomez Tarazona family, located on the tenth block of Villarán Avenue, in the Lima area surquillo.
in dialogue with RPP NewsArturo Gómez Tarazona said they heard a loud noise last night around 10:00 pm, which alerted them, as they thought a flower pot might have fallen or, worse, a thief had broken into their house.
“We assumed that it could be a pot or a stranger in the house. Suddenly we look well and see a little white head. I went down to look and it was a pelican,” he said.
pelicanapparently weak, fell through the skylight of the house and is currently in one of the rooms of the house.
worried family
Arturo Gómez Tarazona expressed concern as it is not known whether pelican he fell in his house because he was infected with bird flu, a disease that has killed thousands of seabirds on our coast.
“I watch all the news, the question arises: if he is sick, then he is not sick. We called Senasa, they are working,” he said.
At the end of this note, employees of the National Agrarian Health Service of Peru (Senas) arrived at the house to assess the situation.
It is worth noting that this is not an isolated case of seabirds landing in urban areas. In recent hours, a weakened pelican has fallen on the fourth block of Teniente Romanet Street in San Isidro, causing concern among neighbors.
