Municipality of Lima and National Police This Thursday, they infiltrated a clandestine warehouse located in block 12 of Giron Puno in the Barrios Altos area (Cercado de Lima), where tons of goods were stored.
Fencing – without operating permits – lacks minimum security measures such as signage, fire alarms, or fire extinguishers.
In addition, all the goods are stacked informally, forming huge columns that can collapse with any movement.
In total, the authorities found 8,000 tons of various materials, most of which are highly flammable.
Explosive material?
Explosive Disposal Unit personnel (UDEKS) owned National Police arrived at the scene to rule out the presence of explosives such as pyrotechnics in the warehouse.
In dialogue with RPP NewsSupervision and Control Manager of the Municipality of Lima, Mark Anthony Fieldsreported that the store owner would be fined, as well as the owners of the product.
It is worth noting that this place was sanctioned twice, in April and September of this year, so the case will be transferred to the Attorney General’s Office of the Municipality of Lima.
