Israel ends its latest Covid-19 travel restriction. From midnight on Saturday, October 8 to Sunday, October 9, it will no longer be necessary to fill out a form to enter the country, according to the website of Israel’s Ministry of Health. This document had to be sent online at least ten days before the flight or cruise to Israel and, among other things, had to list the countries visited in the seven days before arrival. Travelers are no longer required to provide proof of vaccination or a PCR test. On May 20, 2022, the authorities removed the mandatory test to be conducted upon arrival at Israeli airports. The visitors had to self-isolate in a hotel while awaiting the results. In March, Israel reopened its borders to the unvaccinated and abandoned the health pass.
This new easing of measures should boost the country’s tourism activity. Since the beginning of the year, 162,000 French tourists have visited Israel, 14,000 of them in September. French citizens can stay there for 90 days without a visa for tourist purposes. “France remains Europe’s largest market and second only to the US“, – it is mentioned in the press release of the National Office of Tourism of Israel.
