A 60-year-old woman died in a fire at her home in Rimak.

A woman in her 60s died this morning when her home, located in the El Aguila passage, in the Lima area, caught fire. Rimac.

The fire, the causes of which are being investigated, quickly spread due to the fact that the damaged house was built from kincha and adobe.

Because of this, firefighters had to work hard to control the fire and thus prevent it from affecting neighboring houses, also built from these flammable materials.

Confirmed death and casualties

In dialogue with the press, the commander Mario Casaretto, from the fire department, confirmed the death of an unidentified woman. In addition, another injured person is reported, who was evacuated to the PNP Augusto B. Leguía hospital.

“This is a fire in a quince and adobe house that is a bit difficult to control. What we did was localize the fire, prevent it from spreading to neighboring houses, which have the same structure, are made of kincha and adobe,” he said.

“Unfortunately, we have to report the death of a completely burned person and another injured person, whom we took to the PNP Augusto B. Leguía hospital,” he added.

At the end of this note, the prosecutor on duty was expected to order the removal of the body. Meanwhile, firefighters continue their work to fully extinguish the fire.
