Menorca’s tourism development policy is strict and very limited. So, to build a new hotel, there is no other solution than to demolish the existing one and build a new one. This is the choice of Meliá, the largest Spanish hotel group (400 establishments worldwide), for Villa Le Blanc, a 5-star hotel, the construction of which has just been completed. Located on the beach of Sant Tomàs, famous for its turquoise coves, this 159-key complex caters to an international clientele, offering suites with rooftops and private pools, sun loungers and gardens where you can seclude yourself.
The architect has managed to bring some local touches, such as these large arches in the passageways and restaurants, which facilitate air circulation and make it possible without air conditioning in the common areas.
