Lima Municipal Toll Roads Management Company (Emape) announced that the new Pasamaito Highway will start operating in mid-November, linking the Comas areas of Lima with San Juan de Lurigancho (SJL).
This was announced by the CEO EmapeJosé Buleje Guillén, who called the new road one of the symbolic works of the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima (MML).
“We have more than 87% of the physical progress in the work, and we have almost reached its final segment,” said the official Agencia Andina.
‘Pasamayito’ will include round trip lanes, 35,847 m2 of concrete sidewalks, 5,783 m3 of retaining walls and green areas, as well as ramps, curbs, ridges, hairpins, guardrails and vertical and horizontal signage, the municipal company said.

Emape specified that after the completion of the work, the quality of life and the economy of residents north and east of the capital will improve, since the route between Comas and SJL can be completed in 30 minutes. They also indicated that the paved road would allow access to shops, medical centers and jobs in other parts of the city.
