Family lawyer Janet Biaggi argued that the fastest and ideal way to get a divorce was through a notary public or a municipal process, but for this the law requires at least two years to pass from the date of marriage.
In the Family and Justice RPP sequence, the specialist pointed out that the number of divorces during the pandemic has increased during and after, and what is now seen more is that couples are agreeing to a healthier divorce.
He clarified that if a married couple decides to go to court for a de facto divorce, then two years must pass, if there are no minor children, and if there are, then four years must pass.
Dr. Biaggi specified that in order to carry out a municipal divorce, it is necessary to fill out a form in the respective municipality, after about a week still the spouses will be called to ratify their decision, later a municipal decision will be issued, and after two three months, a decree of divorce will be issued.
