Hundreds of believers rose early to be the first to enter the Sanctuary Santa Rosa de Limato pay tribute to him on his day.

“I’m coming for the first time, my sister comes every year. We are from La Victoria. We arrived at four in the morning, (because) faith and devotion come first. Two years later (the pandemic), this is the time to be here,” the woman said.

“The cold is not a hindrance”

The young woman, accompanied by her mother, stressed that, unlike other years, it did not rain on August 30, which made the long hours of waiting before the doors of the sanctuary open more bearable.

“The cold is not a hindrance to being here next to our beautiful mother. Even if it rains, we are here; (but) fortunately it didn’t rain this year. This shows that the little virgin is happy that two years later her children come to visit her,” he said.

“I am happy next to my mother. I have come to ask for your health, for my family and for our work; and so that all this that we are experiencing in our country ends,” he added.
