“Oh Toulouse!“. The 4th most populous city in France, known for its mild climate, is attractive. Between 2008 and 2019, the metropolis had 100,000 residents. After another arrest, another trend accelerated. “Historical” Toulouse are also on the move. As everywhere in big cities, many people think of settling in the suburbs to get a small space and enjoy a garden.
But are all surrounding municipalities equal? We collected quality of life data for Toulouse and 62 other cities and towns within a 40-minute drive of the Place du Capitole. Our comparisons, based on 32 criteria grouped into eight main themes (see detailed methodology), allow us to compare them against each other. The goal is to understand where life is sweetest…
