Party over at Airbnb. The peer-to-peer rental platform has just introduced a new tool that should finally put an end to some customers’ attempts to turn properties into makeshift party rooms. In the USA, the algorithm has just been opened, which should enable the detection of “risky” profiles and block their booking.
In 2020, the platform had already launched a global party ban. First “temporary”, it became permanent this year. In France, users under the age of 25 who have less than three positive reviews risk losing their booking if it is close to where they live, adverts that have already been the subject of complaints have been removed and it is now possible for hosts to cancel bookings without penalty : in case of doubt.
6,000 customers banned in 2021

Not yet located in France
If this algorithm is launched in North America, its inauguration is not planned for France or Europe.
