Intense rain and strong thunderstorms are expected around the Mediterranean from Wednesday, with a very clear worsening, the Weather Channel * said in its daily press release. Elsewhere in the country the weather is very unsettled and the atmosphere is very heavy, again due to the cold fall in the Bay of Biscay. With heavy rainfall, major flooding is expected from the Languedoc to the Rhône Valley and the west of the Côte d’Azur.
Everywhere, however, showers and thunderstorms remain in abundance during Tuesday evening, except for the extreme northeast, where dry and hot weather prevails. This bad weather is very early this year as they generally start in September.
