Everywhere we turn, the planet has presented a desolate scene since the beginning of summer. Agricultural lands are suffocating under the influence of drought. Forests are disappearing due to huge fires. Glaciers are melting, rivers and lakes are visibly drying up. Nature gives the impression of a furnace that burns everything in its path. Faced with this apocalyptic picture, worries about global warming are rising at a furious pace on the thermometer. But at a time when logic would dictate a general mobilization against greenhouse gas emissions, the whole world is rushing to the most polluting energy, coal, which is now worth its weight in gold.
For Europe, the richest region of all, this absurd situation is the ransom of years of blindness mixed with suicidal ideology. Lulled by the illusion of eternal geopolitical stability, fed by abundant and cheap energy, we have willingly sacrificed our sovereignty…
