A small pond is found at the bend of the path bordering the wheat fields, at the exit of the village of Bambeek (in the North), near Dunkirk, in a landscape typical of Maritime Flanders. A pipe was installed to fill this basin, from which abundant and noisy water flows. The pipe is connected to the pump submerged in the river Yser, a little below. The rate is constant: 5000 liters per hour. The water is used to fill a pond bordered by hunting huts (for waterfowl).
