Things stolen from the beach, a valuable watch ripped off or worse, a car stripped or even completely gone. Petty crimes do not decrease during the holidays. It even increases in seaside towns where summer is the peak season for all types of theft. So, to identify the beach resorts where you need to be extra vigilant, Le Figaro ranked around one hundred touristic coastal towns according to the number of people being robbed or vehicles targeted.
We analyzed crime figures for all beach towns with fewer than 100,000 residents, classified as tourist resorts and at least 150 rooms in three-star hotels and above. It is enough to make a classification of places most affected by petty crimes, where special attention should be paid.
