The rise and fall of the empire. The Hulu platform has just released the trailer for a new documentary Victoria’s Secret. Angels and demonswhich will appear live on July 14, and promises to answer a number of particularly sensitive questions about the world’s most famous underwear brand.
This three-part investigation, conducted by journalist Matt Turnauer, examines the history of the brand, which is fundamentally linked to its CEO, billionaire Les Wexner, the founder of L Brand, Victoria’s Secret, Abercrombie & Fitch and of Bath’s parent company. & Body Works.
Behind the marketing genius, sexiness and glamour, is a look at the underbelly of the fashion world, specifically how Victoria’s Secret has insidiously changed the rules of female beauty; indirectly to the increased incidence of anorexia among many girls. Combining archival footage, insider videos and interviews with former ‘Angels’; Victoria’s Secret. Angels and demons also denounces the conflicts, exploitations and abuses of this brutal and highly competitive environment, as well as the less glamorous aspects of consumer culture, which have long been condemned by feminist movements.

Also under review is Wexner’s relationship with convicted sex offender business magnate Jeffrey Epstein, since the CEO gave Epstein a power of attorney in 1991 as his personal fund manager. The trailer questions the entrepreneur’s integrity, asking if he really didn’t know the truth about Epstein’s sex crimes.
It is not yet known whether Victoria’s Secret. Angels and demons It will be broadcast on Disney+ in France, no information has been released on this topic.
